The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established by Royal Decree in 1973 AD as an institution of public benefit. The Chamber’s vision is to enhance the role of the private sector as a strategic partner in sustainable development by achieving a number of goals that are represented in working to organize and represent commercial and industrial interests and work to defend them in various fields. Fields, work by all means available to activate the economic work in the Sultanate through active participation in the implementation of various development plans aimed at diversifying sources of national income, motivating institutions and companies of the Omani private sector to participate in comprehensive development plans in the country by adopting the establishment and establishment of development projects in all sectors And economic fields such as trade, industry and agriculture, representing the Sultanate and the Omani private sector in regional and global forums, and expressing the Omani point of view on issues raised in the global economic arena.
The Chamber offers many services, including: – Registering members in the Chamber and its branches in the regions of the Sultanate under one umbrella, providing the international institutional reference for national establishments (and their products), holding exhibitions to provide an opportunity for businessmen and establishment owners to see the latest findings in the world of trade and industry, Organizing meetings between Omani businessmen with their counterparts from businessmen and foreign delegations visiting the country and providing lists of addresses and activities of businessmen for both parties, discussing the problems of members of the Chamber in all parts of the Sultanate through meetings and field visits, studying and analyzing these problems and submitting recommendations regarding them to officials in the state to find solutions Settling commercial disputes, evaluating economic feasibility studies for investment projects to be established, preparing economic studies on commercial and industrial conditions and other various economic activities, providing and preparing economic information on the values and volumes of Omani exports and imports and on trends in demand and prices for foreign trade commodities in global markets, presenting Industrial consulting, providing an economic library with scientific and statistical references and commercial and industrial guides for various countries of the world
